We all know that sharks can regrow their teeth, but what might be news is that humans possess the same genes that allow sharks to regenerate teeth! Some researchers in the UK have, “ identified a network of genes that are responsible for tooth development and lifelong tooth regeneration in sharks . . .These findings, however, indicate that it may one day be possible to trigger tooth regeneration in humans.” http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/306583.php. How cool is that?
So now I am wondering if we share the genes that allow salamanders to regrow limbs? Do we possess the genes that make tails grow? How about the genes that allows chameleons to change color? I think I’d choose to be a lovely shade of lavender with a big bushy tail.
While science has not yet found a way for humans to regrow teeth we can certainly repair or replace the ones you have. Give us a call.
